Senior Back-End Engineer

Float is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to join their 100% remote team of 50. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and developing features for over 4,500 teams and 100,000+ users
• Scaling back-end systems to support growing customer base
• Implementing new features and innovative solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
• Leading internal integration strategy for event-driven data flow
• Expanding services suite to support business growth
• Applying proactive thinking to innovate architecture and systems

Required skills:

• Strong understanding of engineering principles for high-quality services
• Proficiency in PHP and Node.js
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL and MongoDB)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of serverless architecture (Cloud Run and App Engine)
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures
• Familiarity with third-party API integrations
