Description For Associate Sales Engineer

Fluence, a NASDAQ-listed global leader in intelligent energy storage and optimization software (FLNC), is seeking an Associate Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for the company's continued growth in the renewable energy sector, with implementations across nearly 50 markets worldwide.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, working with cutting-edge energy storage technology. As an Associate Sales Engineer, you'll serve as the technical lead throughout the sales process for some of the industry's largest and most challenging projects. This customer-facing role requires interaction with various internal teams, including Product, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Project Execution.

The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, energy storage, or related fields, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering. You'll be responsible for developing deep technical understanding of Fluence's platforms, providing sales support, negotiating specifications, and developing cost estimates for new sales.

Fluence offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-$130,000, complemented by an outstanding benefits package including unlimited PTO, comprehensive insurance coverage, 401K matching, and annual bonuses. Responsibilities For Associate Sales Engineer

  • Develop deep understanding of Fluence energy storage technology platforms
  • Provide sales teams with technical support and product configuration guidance
  • Review and negotiate technical specifications for energy storage core and BOP scope
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for new sales
  • Lead technical aspects of contract negotiations
  • Assist in development of sales tools and support materials
  • Capture customer technical and application requirements

Requirements For Associate Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred)
  • 2-5 years' work experience in electrical engineering, energy storage, solar, power industry, or related industry
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of applicable standards, codes and regulations
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally
