Responsibilities For Battery Pack Mechanical Integration Engineer

  • Develop and maintain battery module and pack mechanical/structural components design
  • Lead design efforts for GD&T
  • Provide guidance, boundary conditions, and analyze structural CAE
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing team on design for manufacturing
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Support Procurement team in component sourcing activities
  • Manage supplier DFMEA/PMEA development
  • Support component change management process
  • Support design reviews and program milestone presentations
  • Support cost and performance optimization in component design
  • Collaborate with internal and external team members
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to business sites

Requirements For Battery Pack Mechanical Integration Engineer

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years experience in battery module and pack engineering
  • Experience building and using thermal/mechanical analytical models
  • Experience managing components developed by third party suppliers
  • Proficient in ASME Y14.5-2018 GD&T
  • Ability to perform dimensional stack ups independently
  • Previous experience in high voltage battery module components preferred
