Description For Commissioning Engineer

Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team. The role involves commissioning Fluence projects, developing and executing commissioning plans, leading efforts to achieve commercial operations, and overseeing testing of various systems. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, 2-4 years of experience in related fields, and be willing to travel extensively. Key responsibilities include managing commissioning at field locations, providing remote technical support, and demonstrating hands-on field experience in utility-scale or industrial environments. The role requires strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and a passion for learning new skills. Responsibilities For Commissioning Engineer

  • Commission Fluence Projects working with multiple project stakeholders
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans including resourcing and scheduling
  • Lead commissioning efforts to achieve commercial operations
  • Define, develop and execute testing protocols
  • Oversee complete commissioning and acceptance testing of various systems
  • Manage and resolve scheduling conflicts with key stakeholders
  • Delegate and manage workload of the site commissioning team
  • Identify skill gaps and scheduling concerns in precommissioning

Requirements For Commissioning Engineer

  • Undergraduate degree in a related engineering field
  • 2 to 4 years of professional work experience in a related field
  • Willing and able to manage commissioning at field locations domestically and internationally
  • Able to provide effective remote technical support
  • Demonstrated hands-on field experience in an electric utility-scale or process-heavy industrial environment
  • Proven success on challenging projects
  • Ability to write specifications and work plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to learn new skills, business applications and equipment platforms
  • Able to manage multiple overlapping projects
  • Effective in a collaborative yet informally structured work environment
