Description For Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer

Fluence, a Siemens and AES company, is the global market leader in energy storage technology solutions and services. We are seeking an Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer to drive energy storage project commissioning and support project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field with 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in industrial/utility construction, commissioning, project management, performance testing, and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning Fluence Projects in cooperation with multiple stakeholders
  • Developing and executing commissioning plans
  • Leading efforts to achieve commercial operations
  • Defining and executing testing protocols
  • Overseeing commissioning and acceptance testing of various systems

The role requires extensive travel, both domestic and international, and the ability to manage multiple overlapping projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience in an electric utility-scale or process-heavy industrial environment, proven success on challenging projects, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities For Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer

  • Commission Fluence Projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans including resourcing and scheduling
  • Lead commissioning efforts to achieve commercial operations
  • Define, develop and execute testing protocols
  • Oversee commissioning and acceptance testing of various systems
  • Provide effective remote technical support to other commissioning teams

Requirements For Energy Storage Commissioning Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field
  • 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in related field
  • Willing and able to manage commissioning at field locations domestically and internationally
  • Extensive overnight travel, including weekends and holidays
  • Hands-on field experience in electric utility-scale or process-heavy industrial environment
  • Ability to write specifications and work plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects
