The Field Service Engineer will play a crucial role as the primary customer liaison, managing large-scale energy storage sites and ensuring high project availability. The ideal candidate will bring 3 years of experience in electric utility or power production, with knowledge of bi-directional inverters and high-current DC systems. Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer

  • Act as primary liaison with customers and ensure high project availability
  • Own safety culture and ensure safety during maintenance
  • Manage reactive and preventive maintenance activities
  • Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and technical support
  • Manage 3rd party service contractors
  • Maintain accurate records of site activity
  • Work with internal teams to improve product reliability
  • Lead efforts to improve service costs

Requirements For Field Service Engineer

Linux
  • Undergraduate degree preferred (BSEE, BSME, BSCE) or Licensed Electrician
  • Experience in bi-directional inverters, HVAC and 1000V/high current DC systems
  • 3 years related experience in electric utility or power producer experience
  • Experience with safety efforts in operational setting
  • Proven track record troubleshooting
  • Experience with POs and managing scopes of work
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills
  • MS Office proficiency; SCADA & MODBUS experience preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, & lift up to 40lbs
