The Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - NPI role is a crucial position within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will lead NPI manufacturing projects, ensuring contract manufacturers are effectively onboarded and prepared for production. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and manufacturing knowledge.

The position involves leading a team of advanced manufacturing engineers, coordinating prototype manufacturing activities, and managing CAPEX forecasting. You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and mitigating manufacturing risks, and maintaining crucial AME deliverables. The role requires collaboration across various functions and serves as a key liaison between contract manufacturers, engineering, and procurement teams.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in manufacturing NPI or process engineering, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of manufacturing metrics and quality methods. Responsibilities For Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - NPI

  • Serve as owner of one or more NPI manufacturing projects
  • Lead team of advanced manufacturing engineers in development and launch of new manufacturing production lines
  • Coordinate prototype manufacturing activities
  • Provide CAPEX expenditures forecast
  • Collaborate cross functionally across matrix of functions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within NPI process
  • Identify and communicate potential manufacturing risks
  • Create and maintain AME deliverables
  • Participate in design and DFA/DFM reviews
  • Serve as liaison between contract manufacturer, engineering, and procurement
  • Support company initiatives including cost reduction and quality targets

Requirements For Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - NPI

  • 7+ years experience in manufacturing NPI or process engineering role
  • Experience leading manufacturing engineers in an NPI environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing metrics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of quality methods and requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Ability to travel to CM locations with little advanced notice
