Responsibilities For Platform Engineer

  • Develop, test, and maintain processes to integrate and manage data from various sources
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Implement data governance best practices including data lineage and metadata management
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data platforms and systems
  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, security, and availability
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and tools
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to internal tools and frameworks development
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Document systems, processes, and best practices

Requirements For Platform Engineer

Python
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a platform engineer or data engineer
  • Proficiency in Python programming and automation
  • Experience with data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, EdgeX, TimescaleDB)
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines and data governance principles
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred
  • Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) preferred
