Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team in a crucial role that drives their continued growth and success. The Senior Sales Engineer will serve as the technical lead throughout the sales process for major energy storage projects. This customer-facing role involves deep interaction with various internal teams including Product, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Project Execution. The position requires a strong technical background combined with excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and customer needs.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in energy storage or related fields, with at least 2 years specifically in grid-scale energy storage. They will be responsible for providing technical support to sales teams, developing cost estimates, leading technical negotiations, and helping shape product roadmaps based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities For Senior Sales Engineer

  • Develop deep understanding of Fluence energy storage technology platforms
  • Provide sales teams with technical support and product configuration guidance
  • Review and negotiate technical specifications for energy storage core and BOP scope
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for new sales
  • Lead technical aspects of contract negotiations
  • Assist in development of sales tools and support materials
  • Capture customer technical and application requirements

Requirements For Senior Sales Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred)
  • 5+ years work experience in energy storage, solar, or other power generation
  • 2+ years grid scale energy storage experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of applicable standards, codes and regulations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize tasks
