Fluence is seeking a Service Operations Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for managing and resolving issues at customer energy storage sites. The position involves working in a 24/7 rotational shift environment, handling both reactive and preventive maintenance of large-scale energy storage infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance activities for energy storage sites. They will need to respond to customer alerts, manage incident resolution, and ensure high availability of assets. The role requires a strong technical background with experience in electrical systems, particularly in utility or power generation environments.

Responsibilities For Service Operations Engineer

  • Be the remote owner of large-scale energy storage sites and operate as first point of contact for customer needs
  • Work from Bangalore office location on 24/7 rotational shift
  • Respond to customer calls or alarms and identify required actions
  • Coordinate reactive and preventive maintenance activities
  • Provide remote diagnostic, troubleshooting and technical support
  • Maintain accurate records and create service reports
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure safety culture and prioritize safety during maintenance

Requirements For Service Operations Engineer

Linux
  • Undergraduate degree preferred (BSEE, BSME, BSCE) or Licensed Electrician
  • Experience in bi-directional inverters, HVAC and 1000V/high current DC systems
  • 2+ years experience in electric utility or power producer operations
  • Proven track record of remote troubleshooting
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Linux operating system experience (Red Hat/Fedora, Ubuntu, or Debian)
  • Fundamental understanding of Networking
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • SCADA and MODBUS experience (preferred)
