Description For Sr. Quality and Continuous Improvement Engineer

Fluence (Nasdaq: FLNC) is a global market leader delivering intelligent energy storage and optimization software for renewables and storage. We are seeking a Sr. Quality and Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role based in either Houston, TX or Arlington, VA.

Reporting to the Director - Quality and Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Fluence's quality system. You will lead continuous improvement projects utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Kaizens, or Six Sigma. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading process improvements through data-driven problem solving
  • Analyzing quality performance data and preparing management reports
  • Leading root cause analysis teams using 8D methodology
  • Training employees on quality methodologies and lean concepts
  • Participating in and leading internal quality audits
  • Creating and improving process documentation
  • Leading kaizen and other improvement projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • B.S. in Engineering or other STEM field
  • 8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineer role
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 management systems
  • Proficiency in process documentation and risk management tools
  • Experience leading kaizen teams and training on quality tools
  • Understanding of statistical methods and supplier quality tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally

Responsibilities For Sr. Quality and Continuous Improvement Engineer

  • Experience with risk management tools such as FMEA and PFMEA
  • Experience leading kaizen teams using lean tools
  • Understanding of basic statistical methods and techniques
  • Experience with supplier quality and related tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic and international
