Description For Test Engineer

Fluence, a Nasdaq-listed company (FLNC), is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work environment. This role is crucial for defining and implementing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) test processes and equipment at contract manufacturing facilities. The position combines technical expertise in electrical engineering with project management skills, focusing on equipment testing, process development, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures, managing equipment installations, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities For Test Engineer

  • Define manufacturing test processes and procedures to achieve product requirements
  • Perform equipment Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
  • Develop manufacturing test plans in alignment with FAT and customer expectations
  • Contribute to PFMEA review and operational process risk assessments
  • Oversee factory equipment install, debug, launch, and continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in program core team to accomplish daily tasks and meet project deliverables
  • Establish equipment installation schedules and facilitate weekly/daily status reviews
  • Lead lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies

Requirements For Test Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 5-7 years proven experience in supply chain management, project management, and NPI roles
  • Strong understanding of automated test development
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with data acquisition hardware (2+ Years Preferred)
  • Test application and programming software experience (LabVIEW)
  • Experience in reading and analyzing electrical circuit schematics
  • Experience with DFMEAs/PFMEAs
