Responsibilities For Modeling Engineer, Cell R&D

  • Develop, optimize, and operate multiphysics electrochemical and thermal models
  • Communicate model results to the Research & Development team
  • Explain model assumptions and limitations to non-experts
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to validate models against experimental results
  • Learn new modeling and analytics tools as necessary

Requirements For Modeling Engineer, Cell R&D

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical engineering, Electrochemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in modeling electrochemical system phenomena
  • Experience with commercial FEA/FVM software packages (COMSOL, Abaqus, MOOSE, or ANSYS/Fluent)
  • Ability to understand physical phenomena governing electrochemical and thermal models
  • Strong communication skills
