As a Senior Controls Engineer in Robotics, you'll join their Manufacturing Controls Engineering team at their new factory in Weirton, WV. This role combines cutting-edge manufacturing automation with meaningful impact on climate change.

You'll be instrumental in designing and developing control systems for high-volume automated process equipment and robotic cells. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of control system design, process engineering, and manufacturing operations. You'll be responsible for creating control systems architecture, developing company-wide standards, and ensuring smooth integration of automated systems in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires extensive experience with industrial automation, including programming PLCs, working with various robot platforms (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kuka, ABB), and implementing vision inspection systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the entire lifecycle of manufacturing equipment development.

Responsibilities For Senior Controls Engineer, Robotics

  • Develop company level controls standards and specifications
  • Create controls system architecture and logic for manufacturing equipment
  • Layout industrial electrical control panels with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliance
  • Architect, write, and debug controls logic
  • Work with cross-functional teams throughout equipment development lifecycle
  • Characterize and verify new automated process equipment
  • Collaborate with controls engineers team
  • Participate in equipment conceptual development

Requirements For Senior Controls Engineer, Robotics

Linux
  • 6+ years of experience as Controls Engineer or Robotics Engineer
  • Proficiency with electromechanical/mechatronic system design
  • Advanced proficiency in programming industrial equipment
  • Experience with Siemens and Rockwell controls platforms
  • Experience with Safety PLCs
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI systems
  • Experience with industrial communications protocols
  • Experience programming 6-Axis industrial robots
  • Experience with vision inspection systems
  • Proficiency in creating electrical schematics in CAD
  • BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong technical communication skills
