As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll join the Electrode Engineering team within the Technology group, focusing on delivering qualified battery anode and cathode designs. The role combines hands-on mechanical engineering with cutting-edge energy storage technology, where you'll lead prototyping efforts and work on first-of-a-kind battery electrode features. You'll be responsible for design, validation, and testing of crucial components using CAD software and machine shop tools. Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer

  • Lead the prototyping of components integral to the battery cell electrodes and electrode stack assembly
  • Develop functional requirements and validation plans with Cell, Systems, and Electrode Engineering teams
  • Perform hands-on fabrication and assembly of electrode components and test vehicles
  • Release designs consistent with company and team best practices
  • Demonstrate design functionality through component- or system-level testing

Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks modeling and drafting
  • Expert in prototyping techniques and working in a machine shop environment
  • Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment and/or operational mechanical prototypes
  • Familiarity with product verification & validation testing
