Senior Process Engineer, Assembly

Form Energy is seeking multiple Senior Process Engineers to join their Assembly Manufacturing Engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and scaling up a new class of battery manufacturing processes for Form Energy's Iron-Air multi-day battery. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, driving capability and stability of novel manufacturing processes for the core battery assembly technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and optimization of novel battery assembly manufacturing technologies
• Enable highly capable processes, driving yield, quality, and performance through a data-driven approach
• Partner with Manufacturing Equipment team to design, build, install, and run processes on first-of-kind manufacturing equipment
• Collaborate with product design, R&D, quality, and supply chain teams
• Develop and maintain PFMEA, process specifications, measurement systems, control plans, and quality inspection methods
• Prioritize safety across all aspects of manufacturing
• Commission and own novel processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Provide data-driven feedback to the Design team for manufacturing process simplification
• Develop novel test methods to evaluate products in real-time during production
• Mentor and support team members

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
• Hands-on experience with medium to large equipment
• Proficiency in process engineering principles, statistical analysis, and quality management systems
• Experience with statistical methods and tools like JMP or Minitab
• Experience owning manufacturing processes and showing accountability for their quality, throughput, yield, and overall success
• Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
