As a Senior Process Engineer in their Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for their groundbreaking battery technology. They're rapidly expanding their operations and have already begun trial production of their iron-air batteries, with plans for high-volume production at their new West Virginia factory.
In this role, you'll lead the development of testing processes, particularly focusing on leak testing and Hipot/continuity testing for novel battery manufacturing technologies. You'll work closely with various teams, including Equipment, R&D, and Quality, to ensure successful implementation of manufacturing processes. Your expertise in statistical analysis and process optimization will be crucial in driving improvements and maintaining high quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of manufacturing experience, strong technical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities For Senior Process Engineer
- Lead development and optimization of testing processes, focusing on leak testing and Hipot/continuity testing
- Partner with Equipment team to design, build, install, and run equipment for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with product design team, R&D, quality, and supply chain
- Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, process specifications, measurement systems
- Provide data-driven feedback to the Design team
- Develop novel test methods for real-time production evaluation
- Mentor and guide junior team members
- Drive yield, quality, and performance through data-driven approach
Requirements For Senior Process Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Hands-on experience with testing processes
- Proficiency in process engineering principles and statistical analysis
- Experience with statistical methods using JMP, Minitab, or equivalent
- Experience owning manufacturing processes
- Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
