Description For Senior Process Engineer - Electrode

Form Energy is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their Operations Sustaining team. This role is crucial in optimizing processes for Form Energy's cathode technology in their iron-air multi-day battery production. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing new technologies from concept to scaled implementation and a proactive, interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving continuous improvements in electrode production processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve production issues
  • Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective actions
  • Developing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Supporting factory layout/optimization efforts and capacity planning

The role requires:

  • 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with processes such as powder handling/mixing, roll-to-roll processing, calendaring, or lamination
  • Proficiency in statistical methods and SQL data query
  • Experience in managing manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities For Senior Process Engineer - Electrode

  • Drive continuous improvements to optimize the electrode production processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve production issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Support usage of PLM, MES, and ERP systems
  • Support factory layout/optimization efforts, capacity planning, scalability plans, crew cycling, tool cycling, etc.

Requirements For Senior Process Engineer - Electrode

  • 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production development environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • Direct experience in processes such as powder handling/mixing, roll to roll processing, calendaring or lamination
  • Experience with medium to large equipment
  • Comfort using statistical methods for making process development decisions
  • Proficiency on SQL data query
  • Experience owning manufacturing processes
  • Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven experience managing projects, leading teams, and implementing process improvement activities
  • Direct experience creating DFMEAs & PFMEAs and implementing controls for risk mitigation
  • Experience creating and using SPCs in a production environment
  • Ability to lead and train a new team in industrial manufacturing and quality best practices
