Description For Senior Staff Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing battery module electronics and control systems. The role involves leading complex projects in battery management system development, working with both software and hardware teams. You'll be responsible for PCBA design, component selection, and design validation testing. Responsibilities For Senior Staff Electrical Engineer

  • Lead complex projects with software and hardware engineers to develop battery management system (BMS)
  • Take ownership of schematic capture, layout design, and release for various PCBAs
  • Lead technically challenging workstreams aligned to critical program goals
  • Solve cross functional design problems within battery system
  • Lead RCA work across the organization for electrical systems team
  • Drive interface definition via Interface Control Diagrams and Requirements
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis
  • Engage with e-chem team for electrical systems requirements
  • Support new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up activities

Requirements For Senior Staff Electrical Engineer

  • 10+ years experience in all phases of product development life cycle
  • Experience scaling up electronics development and assembly processes
  • Ability to dive into technically complex problems
  • Background using and debugging industrial controls and serial communication protocols
  • Expert knowledge with embedded systems, high voltage isolation, and power conversion
  • BSc or greater degree in electronics or electrical engineering
