Responsibilities For Senior Wire Harness Engineer

  • Develop harnesses for prototype battery and early phase battery programs
  • Design and optimize 3D harness routing and packaging for electromechanical battery systems
  • Identify, evaluate, select, and procure harness components for high volume production
  • Create harness MFG drawings/rework instructions for complex wire harnesses
  • Work with external suppliers and internal prototyping build team
  • Design harness for harsh environmental conditions
  • Troubleshoot and quality check harnesses in fabrication, assembly and bring up stages
  • Innovate, develop, and improve harness development through the build process
  • Design ancillary parts for harness and low voltage system integration

Requirements For Senior Wire Harness Engineer

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant harness design experience
  • Knowledge of battery systems, high voltage systems, EMC Strategies, and communications protocols
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in handling multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented personality with effective documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Preferred experience with GD&T
