Responsibilities For Staff Process Engineer, Plastic Welding

  • Lead development and optimization of novel battery assembly manufacturing technologies
  • Partner with Manufacturing Equipment team to design, build, install, and run processes
  • Collaborate with product design team, R&D, quality, and supply chain
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA, Process specifications, measurement systems
  • Prioritize safety across all aspects of manufacturing
  • Commission and own novel processes in manufacturing environment
  • Provide data-driven feedback to the Design team
  • Develop novel test methods for production evaluation
  • Mentor and support team members

Requirements For Staff Process Engineer, Plastic Welding

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
  • Hands-on experience with medium to large equipment
  • Expertise in process engineering principles and statistical analysis
  • Experience with statistical methods using JMP or Minitab
  • Experience owning manufacturing processes with focus on joining processes for plastics
  • Experience authoring process, safety, and quality documentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
