As a Staff Vision Engineer in their Advanced Manufacturing team, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge machine vision systems for quality control in their new West Virginia factory. This role combines expertise in computer vision, automation, and manufacturing processes to ensure the quality of their groundbreaking battery technology.

Responsibilities For Staff Vision Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing
- Develop and implement machine vision/profilometry solutions for quality inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring
- Specify, procure, validate, and upgrade vision system components
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of vision systems in production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate inspection systems
- Analyze vision system performance for improvements
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Train production staff on vision systems
- Maintain system documentation
Requirements For Staff Vision Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing
- 7+ years of experience in developing and maintaining vision systems in manufacturing
- Experience with vision system platforms (Cognex, Keyence, Gocator, iRVision, Halcon)
- Programming languages knowledge (Python, C++, OpenCV)
- Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, optics, and lighting principles
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with advanced defect detection techniques, AI-based vision systems, and SPC methodologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
