Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking an exceptional Functional Safety Engineer to join our highly skilled and dynamic Engineering team. This position will be based at our office in Warwick, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you will do: We are seeking a highly motivated Functional Safety Engineer to join our team in designing and developing safety critical systems for our advanced electric vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 functional safety standards, and experience in managing functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Work closely with the development teams to define functional safety concepts and requirements
  • Conduct safety analysis and assessments, such as Hazard and Risk Analysis (HARA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Develop and validate safety mechanisms and safety concepts
  • Support system safety validation activities, including safety tests and assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure functional safety compliance

We would like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Min. 2 years of relevant experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 functional safety standards
  • Experience in safety analysis techniques, such as HARA, FTA, and DFMEA
  • Experience with functional safety tools and methodologies
