Description For Lead Performance Development Engineer - Stability and Motion Control Systems

As a Lead Performance Development Engineer in Stability and Motion Control Systems, you'll join a growing team of passionate experts in our Leamington Spa office. Reporting to the Development Manager – Vehicle Performance, you'll lead the development and calibration of Stability Control, Motion Systems, and Brakes across multiple programmes.

This role is crucial in working with Function and Attribute teams in Brakes Modulation, Vehicle Dynamics, and Vehicle Performance to implement efficient development plans for dynamic control systems. You'll be responsible for coordinating software calibrations, integrating hardware and software functions, and ensuring delivery of vehicle-level attributes.

Responsibilities For Lead Performance Development Engineer - Stability and Motion Control Systems

  • Work cross functionally with Vehicle Dynamics, Brakes and PED teams to deliver vehicle level attributes
  • Coordinate multiple software calibrations across multiple ECUs relevant to Brakes, Stability and Motion Control Systems
  • Integrate software and hardware functions at vehicle level
  • Support the release of software calibrations at critical build phases
  • Deliver a robust Engineering DVP

Requirements For Lead Performance Development Engineer - Stability and Motion Control Systems

  • Broad experience in Vehicle Development – Ideally in Stability and/or Motion Control Systems
  • Degree in Engineering or Similar
  • Experience using data acquisition and instrumentation systems
  • Stability Control and Motion Control System calibration experience
  • High proficiency of driving ability (limit handling and low Mu driving)
  • Experience testing at proving grounds
