We're seeking a Project Engineer – FMEA and Process to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will play an important role in risk management for both product and process development. This position leverages the FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) methodology to identify and manage potential risks within systems, designs, and processes. The FMEA engineer is responsible for coordinating and leading FMEA sessions across project phases, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure risks are properly identified, prioritized, and documented for our groundbreaking automotive projects.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you'll do

  • Plan and facilitate FMEA meetings in accordance with APQP guidelines, coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Use FMEA tools to conduct risk analysis, ensuring compliance with FMEA methodologies and accurate documentation.
  • Prioritize and verify that process, safety, homologation, and key characteristics meet required capability standards.
  • Represent EE department when report status updates, consolidate results, and provide risk assessments to stakeholders, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.
  • Track follow-up actions, maintain standard FMEA modules, and integrate critical findings into process control plans.
  • Conduct FMEA training, represent organizational interests, and escalate issues if guidelines are not followed or deadlines are missed.

Who you are

  • Experience in automotive electrical components' design, development and manufacture.
  • Experience of leading DFMEA and System (Electrical Interface) Reviews.
  • Working knowledge of automotive networks, standards and development processes.
  • Diligent and detail focused
  • Strong communicator and empathetic
  • Agile and energized working in a start-up environment
