Senior Project Engineer - Charging Systems & HV Harnessing

We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Charging Systems & HV Harnessing to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Engineering Manager – Powertrain Products, you will be responsible for leading the development, delivery, integration and validation of High Voltage charging systems and HV Harnessing into high volume vehicles. Working alongside power electronics and test and validation engineers among others, the role will be responsible for ensuring that our vehicles remain compatible and are protected against current and future charging standards.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

Key responsibilities include:

• Specification, project management, integration and validation of charging interfaces on Forseven battery electric vehicles.
• Delivery ownership and execution of Charge Inlets and High Voltage Harnessing along with supplier management and planning.
• Perform the role of in-house expert for these systems and maintain a development roadmap.
• Work with stakeholders to identify solutions, projects and milestones.
• Manage technical deliverables, project plans and open issues decks.
• Specification and development oversight of design features and functions.
• Participation in system review, verification & validation activities.

Requirements:

• Mechanical, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree.
• Significant experience in HV Electronics or component delivery within an automotive engineering environment.
• Understanding of High Voltage Electrical architectures and underlying principles.
• Experience in project engineering with Tier 1 suppliers.
• Ability to communicate requirements and manage cost/benefit/compromise.
• Self-motivated and able to work well on own initiative.
• Full driving licence is essential.
