We're seeking a Vehicle Robustness – Lead Development Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Development Manager, you will lead the development testing of vehicle robustness across multiple programs. Inclusive but not limited to Structures, Exteriors & Interiors; Durability, Corrosion & Water management. This role will work closely with Function, Attribute & Simulation teams to ensure the most efficient development plan is in place and facilitating all test activities.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you'll do

  • Understands how Attribute & System tests fit within the overall attribute validation process
  • Leads workstreams within multi-disciplined cross-functional attribute/system team
  • Define appropriate test assets; Vehicle, Buck or Rig
  • Act as a Technical Lead within a team of Development Engineers at various levels
  • Ensure robust Engineering DVP & Asset timing plan is in place for all development related testing
  • Ensure adequate test requirements and procedures are in place
  • Complete test result analysis and reporting
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are met for all testing
  • Shares knowledge and learning around subject area with the wider team (attribute and development)

Who you are

  • Extensive experience in Vehicle Development/Testing
  • Degree in Engineering or similar
  • Experience using data acquisition and instrumentation systems
  • Technical Leadership
  • Actively seeks out and implements process improvements
  • Data acquisition and instrumentation experience
