Senior Software Engineer

Forter is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Platform Engineering's DevEx team. This role focuses on creating an exceptional developer experience and providing tools that empower over 300 developers and analysts. The DevEx team's mission is to make the right thing the easy thing for all engineers at Forter.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining core developer tools
• Planning and conducting rollouts of technical projects
• Contributing to complex development efforts
• Working with various programming languages and platforms
• Collaborating with product managers and peers on feature development
• Gathering customer feedback to improve experiences

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience with modern programming languages (Python, Go, Ruby, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience with CI systems deployed across multiple regions
• Hands-on experience managing and scaling developer tools
• Extensive experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Forter's tech stack includes Jenkins for CI (migrating to GitHub Actions), IaC for deployments using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, with Python and JavaScript as primary coding languages.
