Foth, a well-established science and engineering consulting firm with over 85 years of success, is seeking a Lead Thermoforming Systems Engineer for their Capital Projects team. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a 100% member-owned company with 700 members across 29 locations. The position can be based in Green Bay, WI, or work remotely within the US.

The ideal candidate will lead technical direction for CapEx projects in the thermoformed container production industry, leveraging modern technologies to improve manufacturing processes. With a required background in Polymer/Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and 10+ years of experience, you'll be responsible for developing complete thermoforming systems from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities include developing equipment specifications, P&IDs, and operation specifications, while coordinating with various stakeholders. The role requires strong technical leadership, with duties including mentoring team members and providing onsite/remote construction support.

Responsibilities For Lead Thermoforming Systems Engineer (Capital Projects)

  • Lead technical direction for CapEx projects in thermoformed container production
  • Leverage modern technologies to provide innovative process solutions
  • Assist in optimization of existing plant processes
  • Develop complete thermoforming systems deliverables
  • Prepare and give technical reviews to clients
  • Coordinate with project disciplines, clients, vendors, and suppliers
  • Develop equipment specifications and P&IDs
  • Lead checkout/start-up efforts and provide construction support
  • Coach and mentor others on technological advancements

Requirements For Lead Thermoforming Systems Engineer (Capital Projects)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Polymer/Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with Engineered Package development
  • Knowledge of thermoformed plastics engineering processes
  • Understanding of various plastics properties
  • Ability to travel up to 35% annually
