Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at Freeform, you'll own projects from concept to implementation, contributing to machine system architecture and working cross-functionally with electrical and software engineering teams. The ideal candidate is self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about solving complex problems.

Responsibilities:

• Bring hardware from concept to production
• Develop and test complex mechanical components and systems
• Perform tolerance analysis at system and subsystem levels
• Plan and conduct tests on equipment and systems
• Build, integrate, and validate designs
• Develop continuous improvement plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering (ABET accredited)
• Hands-on design experience from internships or engineering clubs
• Full life-cycle hardware design experience
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals

Nice to Have:

• Advanced degree in mechanical engineering
• 4+ years of experience in complex mechanical systems design
• Knowledge of motion control, kinematics, and fluid/thermal systems
• Experience with electromechanical systems
• Passion for metal 3D printing
