Freenome, a pioneering biotech company founded in 2014, is revolutionizing cancer detection through blood-based testing. We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our mission of saving lives through early cancer detection. You'll be instrumental in building our cloud-native machine learning platform that handles the world's largest multi-analyte cancer genomics dataset.
As part of our engineering-forward approach, you'll work with a small but impactful infrastructure team, helping to shape the culture and build robust systems that enable fast, reliable development. The role combines cutting-edge technology with meaningful healthcare impact, requiring expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $188,275 - $288,500, plus pre-IPO equity and comprehensive benefits. You'll report to the Director of Cloud Infrastructure and have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams including clinical lab and research scientists. This is more than just a technical role – it's a chance to directly impact cancer detection and potentially save lives through innovative engineering.
We're looking for someone with 8+ years of experience who can provide both technical expertise and leadership, managing complex infrastructure while maintaining high standards of security and reliability. If you're passionate about using your engineering skills to make a real difference in healthcare and want to be part of a high-performing culture that values respect and collaboration, this role at Freenome could be your next career-defining opportunity.
