Staff Backend Engineer

Fresha, the leading marketplace platform for beauty & wellness, is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their global team. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering and is responsible for technical vision, strategy, and execution within the team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work autonomously, and make a significant impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Hands-on coding and technical leadership
• Owning and delivering cross-team and cross-tribal technical initiatives
• Taking ownership of architecture for a tribe
• Providing technical guidance and making architectural decisions
• Creating improvements in stability, performance, and scalability
• Ensuring timely delivery of team projects
• Leading by example in following engineering practices
• Collaborating with diverse functions across the team
• Facilitating continuous learning and improvement
• Maintaining quality, reliability, and scalability standards
• Anticipating technical changes and keeping Fresha ahead of the curve
• Acting as a multiplier by building systems and tools to raise team productivity
• Communicating Fresha's technology externally and leading internal discussions
