Responsibilities For Staff Electrical Engineer
- Own challenging electrical design projects in industrial automation and robotics
- Own the PCBA design process from requirements through design, prototyping, and validation
- Document design concepts, trade studies, test procedures, and assembly instructions
- Work with cross functional team to design robust electrical systems
- Work with operations team and contract manufacturers
- Design for compliance with UL, ISO and IEC standards
- Test new designs on the bench and in system
- Lead teams in safe and standard-compliant work with electronics
- Contribute to positive work culture and engineering practices
Requirements For Staff Electrical Engineer
- BS, MS, or PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
- 8+ years of professional work experience
- Expert in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with industrial communications protocols
- Familiarity with automation and control equipment
- Expert in schematic capture and layout for PCBs
- Expert in PCBA design validation and troubleshooting
- Proficient in PCBA development tools
- Proficient in utilizing common electrical lab equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
