Platform Engineer

Fuse Energy is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives. This pivotal role encompasses three main areas: Infrastructure Platform, Data Platform, and Observability Platform. As the first Platform Engineer, you'll work directly with the software engineering team to bridge development and operations, focusing on AWS cloud operations, data engineering, and comprehensive monitoring solutions. You'll have significant autonomy in implementing technical solutions and best practices.

The role involves managing cloud operations on AWS, implementing scalable solutions, and maintaining cost-effectiveness. You'll be responsible for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and creating seamless engineering experiences. On the data side, you'll architect and maintain the data engineering platform, building scalable pipelines while ensuring security and performance. The observability aspect includes implementing monitoring solutions, setting up metrics, logs, and traces for system health maintenance.
