G2i Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in building and maintaining their feature management platform that serves over twenty trillion feature flags daily. The role focuses on AI implementation using Golang, with core technologies including Redis and NATS. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package and follows a you-build-it-you-run-it culture. The ideal candidate will contribute to building scalable features, particularly in AI integration, while maintaining high code quality and engineering best practices. The role combines technical expertise in backend development with a strong focus on collaboration and system reliability. The position offers flexibility with remote work options and a competitive salary range of $127,000 to $204,000, plus additional benefits including equity and comprehensive healthcare coverage.
Responsibilities For Backend Engineer for AI (Golang)
- Build and expand feature management products and APIs, written in Go, with a focus on AI
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver user-facing features
- Monitor and improve server-side performance
- Write unit, integration, and load tests as necessary
- Actively participate in code reviews
- Write and review technical proposals
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Requirements For Backend Engineer for AI (Golang)
- Demonstrable experience with server-side web development (e.g. in Java / Scala, Ruby, Python, Golang)
- Experience building scalable application features on top of an LLM (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock)
- Experience building RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with computer science fundamentals such as data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threading
- A commitment to working in a communicative and collaborative environment
- Write code that can be easily understood by others, with an eye towards maintainability
- Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems
- Value high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
- Familiarity with networking technologies (TCP, HTTP, websockets, server-sent events, etc.)
