Senior Gameplay Engineer C++ (all genders)

gamigo group is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer C++ to enhance their team in Hamburg, Austin, or Cebu. The ideal candidate is fascinated by online games, their technical aspects, and client/server interactions. This role involves improving and developing an existing massive multiplayer game, working with a partially 10-year-old codebase.

Key responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for coding development of a major MMO game (client and server)
• Analyzing and fixing issues reported by QA
• Implementing improvements and new features
• Analyzing, documenting, and refactoring existing codebase
• Collaborating with Design, Art, Production, and Product teams
• Creating tools for efficient content creation

Requirements:

• Skilled C++ developer for Windows (Game Client) and Windows/Linux (Game Server)
• Comfortable working with older, undocumented code
• Familiar with Visual Studio and Perforce
• Knowledge of file formats (JSON, XML) and character encoding standards
• Strong C++ skills, with Python knowledge (Flash and DBs like Cassandra and Scylla DB are a plus)
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Enjoy working in a multi-cultural, multi-language team
