Description For Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer

Gatik, a pioneering force in autonomous middle-mile logistics, is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer to join their Mountain View office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the first company to achieve fully driverless middle-mile commercial deliveries, focusing on B2B logistics for Fortune 500 retailers including Walmart.

The position involves leading the development and validation of vehicle control systems from conception to production. You'll be responsible for creating and executing test procedures, troubleshooting field issues, and developing automated test scripts. The role requires expertise in automotive communication protocols, programming languages like C++ and Python, and experience with robotics tools like ROS.

Founded in 2017, Gatik has established a strong presence in key markets including Mountain View, Dallas-Fort Worth, Arkansas, and Toronto. The company's proprietary Level 4 autonomous technology, Gatik Carrier™, is revolutionizing B2B supply chain logistics with its focus on short-haul, point-to-point delivery routes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about autonomous vehicle technology and interested in contributing to the future of supply chain automation. The role offers competitive compensation ($165,000-$185,000) and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a rapidly growing field. The position requires occasional domestic travel (10% of time) and is based in Mountain View, CA.

Join a diverse and inclusive team that values collaboration, respect, and agility, while working on innovative solutions that improve supply chain resilience and environmental sustainability. Gatik's unique approach to autonomous vehicle technology, focusing on defined point-to-point delivery routes, has enabled them to achieve full autonomy ahead of competitors, making this an exciting time to join the company.
