Description For Robotics Integration and Testing Engineer

Gatik, the leader in autonomous middle mile logistics, delivers goods safely and efficiently using its fleet of light & medium-duty trucks. The company focuses on short-haul, B2B logistics for Fortune 500 customers including Kroger, Walmart, Tyson Foods, Loblaw, Pitney Bowes, Georgia-Pacific, and KBX. Gatik's autonomous box trucks are commercially deployed in multiple markets including Texas, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.

We are seeking a talented Robotics Integration and Testing Engineer to join our autonomous vehicle team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in integrating, validating, and testing autonomous systems, ensuring safe and reliable performance across various challenging real-world environments. Your work will directly support the scaling and deployment of our autonomous vehicle fleet, impacting transportation and logistics worldwide.

As a Robotics Integration and Testing Engineer, you will:

  • Lead integration efforts of software and hardware components within the autonomous driving system
  • Develop and execute test plans for validating system-level functionality
  • Conduct in-lab and on-road testing for complex robotic systems
  • Utilize simulation environments for rapid validation of updates and new features
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to sensor integration and data processing
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to optimize system performance
  • Analyze test data to identify trends and contribute to root-cause analysis
  • Automate testing and validation workflows

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in testing, validation, and integration of autonomous or robotic systems
  • Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop testing techniques
  • Hands-on experience with sensors used in autonomous vehicles
  • Experience in data analysis and performance optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
