Description For Field Installation Engineer

As a Field Installation Engineer at GBG, you will be part of the Professional Services and Support teams responsible for the successful delivery of the GBG Scannet product to customers. Your role involves building hardware equipment, delivering to clients, and providing training on how to use the solution. You'll work with various customers in different sectors that require Document Verification on their customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Arranging and managing equipment installations with customers both on-site and remotely
  • Managing and resolving support calls from existing customers
  • Participating in training for continual improvement
  • Testing and evaluating new software updates before release to clients
  • Supporting Sales teams with technical support requests
  • Monitoring stock levels through monthly stock counts
  • Occasional weekend and after-hours standby

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service skills, ability to work in a team, and be comfortable traveling to client sites for installations. Experience using hand tools for installations is beneficial, though full training will be provided. A full clean UK driving license is required.
