As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and computer systems for both the company and its clients.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. You'll be working with technologies such as MS 365, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, among others. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing server and cloud-based solutions, providing expert technical support, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with occasional on-site visits to clients in the NYC metro area. Responsibilities For Senior Systems Engineer
- Design, implement and maintain server and cloud-based computing solutions
- Provide expert technical support to clients, resolving any issues related to their systems
- Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field of systems engineering
- Experience with cybersecurity, including knowledge of firewalls and best practices for securing systems
- Experience with disaster recovery and regaining access and functionality to IT infrastructure
Requirements For Senior Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least five years of proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining computer systems
- Understanding of network communication protocols
- Knowledge of configuring hardware components
- Ability to deploy and manage software solutions
- Excellent scripting skills
