Application Security Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Application Security Engineer to improve the security practices required to deliver products and services with security by design and by default. This is a great opportunity to join our team at a fantastic time of growth and truly make an impact.

The Role:

Secure Software Architecture and Secure coding expert

• Designing and implementing internal tools to improve security practices in the SDLC
• Work with engineering, products, and operational teams to identify gaps and propose improvements
• Perform threat modeling exercises
• Conduct security code reviews for critical system components
• Create and execute training for software engineers

Security tooling management

• Support setting up CI/CD for security tools
• Design and execute security assessments against multiple types of software and hardware

Other responsibilities

• Contribute to the Application Security strategy
• Communicate effectively with other engineers to tackle security issues
• Research security trends in secure architecture and secure coding

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with multiple programming languages including mobile apps
• Understanding of software architectures and deployment strategies
• Knowledge in Cloud Security, especially for AWS
• Expertise in Kubernetes Security
• Knowledge in secure coding and defensive programming
• Proficiency in offensive and defensive security technologies
• Deep understanding of secure network infrastructure, secure architecture, and secure coding
• Expertise in cryptography
• Experience in a technology and software engineering-led organization working with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards (Data Protection Laws, SOX, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST)
