Givefront is revolutionizing nonprofit financial management as a YCombinator-backed banking platform. Founded in 2023, the company is building specialized banking solutions tailored for nonprofit organizations, combining banking, spending, and reporting functionalities in one unified platform.

As the Founding Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting and developing the core banking platform. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a product that directly impacts the nonprofit sector. You'll work closely with the founding team to establish engineering standards, implement security practices, and build scalable systems.

The role demands expertise in both frontend and backend development, utilizing a modern tech stack including Node.js, React.js, Express, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. You'll be responsible for designing user-friendly interfaces while ensuring robust backend systems can handle sensitive financial data securely.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities, experience with cloud services, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience in fintech or nonprofit tech is valued, as is any leadership experience that demonstrates the ability to build and inspire technical teams.
