Our mission is to help companies leverage cutting-edge AI and retrieve actionable insights from audio data.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll join a team of 10 Senior Engineers working on our cutting-edge platform that has scaled from 500 hours to 3 million hours of transcription. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining our Real-time Transcription API that delivers batch-level quality with <300 ms latency across 100+ languages.
The role involves creating and maintaining the entire back-end technical stack, building new product features, and optimizing our platform for scalability and performance. You'll work with modern technologies including Python (FastAPI), Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
We're looking for someone with 6+ years of experience who has a strong background in Python development, CI/CD processes, and database management. The ideal candidate should be proactive, autonomous, and passionate about clean code and software craftsmanship.

Responsibilities For Senior Backend Engineer (Python)
- Create, develop and maintain the whole back-end technical stack
- Build new product features from start to finish
- Resolve technical problems to guarantee the best level of performance
- Improve performance, reliability and observability on our product
- Build & ensure state-of-the-art Python code & good practices
Requirements For Senior Backend Engineer (Python)
- 6+ years of experience on a product experiencing rapid growth
- Solid experience in Python
- Experience with CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Expertise with testing tools
- Interest in clean code, software craftsmanship, performance, scalability and security
- Proactive, agile, autonomous, tenacious, pragmatic, benevolent and curious
