Principal Engineer

Glean is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their founding team for a new green-field product related to personal learning. This role will work as part of a small "Skunkworks" team, including a Product Manager and UX Designer, under the direct leadership of the Founder. The team will take ownership of the product and work semi-independently from the rest of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Designing and validating the platform's requirements
2. Creating and launching a product users love
3. Building a community of users, advocates, and contributors
4. Developing value propositions for platform and education partners

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep and wide technical skillset
• Expertise in Modern Front-End Technologies
• Pragmatism and speed in decision-making
• Strong focus on user experience
• Ability to collaborate with CEO and Subject Matter Experts
• Technical leadership experience
• Innovative mindset
• Strong communication skills

Experience required:

• 5-7 years leading teams to take products from concept to launch
• Passion for learning and knowledge management
• Systems thinking and engineering innovation skills

Glean offers a competitive salary range of £74,000 - £94,000, depending on experience, along with numerous benefits including 33 days annual leave, EMI Share Options Scheme, flexible working hours, and more.

The company has a hybrid working model with an office in Leeds, but remote working within the UK is possible for those living more than 50 miles from the office.
