Senior Data Engineer

Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading insurance company and wholly-owned subsidiary of KKR, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to expand and optimize data and data pipeline architecture. The role involves performing data architecture analysis, design, development, and testing to deliver data applications, services, interfaces, ETL processes, reporting, and other workflow and management initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing enterprise data solutions using AWS Glue, Lambda, Spark, Scala, Java, Python, SQL, etc.
• Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture
• Developing machine learning algorithms and AI models
• Assembling complex data sets to meet business requirements
• Partnering with business leaders to determine and prioritize delivery initiatives
• Engaging in the full software development life cycle
• Ensuring appropriate change management and technology methodologies

The ideal candidate should have:

• 8-10 years of overall IT experience, with 3 years in enterprise-wide big data solution design
• Master's in data science preferred, bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
• Strong experience in AWS Glue, Lambda, Spark, Scala, and machine learning
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills

This role offers a competitive salary range of $67,500 - $129,000 USD, along with comprehensive benefits and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position can be based in New York City, Hartford, or Boston, with a hybrid work arrangement.
