Software Engineer, Frontend

Glue is rethinking work communication. We believe that today's work chat is noisy, unstructured, and not optimized for productivity. We're starting from first principles to build a smarter work chat—reducing noise, and integrating AI directly with team communication to help you get things done.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate staff-level software engineer to join our front-end development team. As a key member of the early team, you will be instrumental in stewarding front-end best-practices architecture, and craftsmanship across the team. You will be pivotal in recruiting and developing a world-class engineering team that will support the massive vision of Glue's impact on work communication.

Our problems are heavily UI/UX-focused, and our technical foundation -- modern Typescript, React, & GraphQL -- is simple, straightforward, and battle-tested. As a technical leader of the team, you'll get to help set the direction of the product, codebase, and team culture. We ship daily and experiment with ideas and interactions as we envision them, focusing on usability, attention to detail, performance, and innovation around optimal team communication.

This is an early role in a startup environment, offering the opportunity to be part of a scrappy, early team building something ambitious and exciting. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact on the product and the company's future.

We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, a builder, and a doer. You should know how to architect a project the "right way," but also know when to ask about requirements and make tradeoffs depending on the project's maturity.
