Open Banking Features Engineer

GoCardless is revolutionizing the banking payment industry by making bank payments and account data more accessible and efficient for businesses worldwide. As part of the Open Banking Features team, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining connectivity with over 2,500 banks across UK and European markets, powering Account Information and Payment Initiation services.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse technology stack including Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud (GCP), Kibana, and Prometheus. You'll be collaborating closely with product teams to innovate, maintain, and optimize the product while being involved in planning and executing the technical vision.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in Python with strong SQL skills and experience in distributed systems. You'll need to be passionate about problem-solving, have a growth mindset, and thrive in a collaborative environment. The role involves debugging complex systems, mentoring junior engineers, and taking leadership in pushing projects forward.
