Goken America, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is an Engineering Services and Product Development company founded in 2004. We are seeking a Design Engineer I for Jigs and Fixtures to support Prototype Fabrication Teams. This role involves engineering design and development of Jigs/Fixtures used for holding vehicle parts/assemblies during processes such as weld, paint, assembly, and testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting engineering design activities for Jigs/Fixtures in Prototype Vehicle Assembly
- Developing components from scratch using 3-D modeling software
- Understanding Vehicle Body-in-white (BIW) part construction
- Supporting development groups with fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs
- Creating part specifications and BOMs
- Analyzing and resolving problems with moderate guidance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering
- 1+ years of industry experience in Automotive Design for Body-In-White (BIW)/Sheetmetal/Machining parts
- Experience with Jigs/Fixtures used in Prototype Vehicle Assembly (preferred)
- Understanding of DFM, DFA, and GD&T
- 2+ years of experience using CATIA V5 (CATIA V6 preferred)
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office
