Description For Design Release Engineer - Chassis

Goken America, an Engineering Services and Product Development company headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is seeking a Design Release Engineer for their Chassis team. This role focuses on developing and implementing solutions for Class 8 heavy duty trucks, including Diesel, Electric, and Autonomous vehicles.

The position involves taking ownership of critical chassis components including fuel systems, DEF systems, battery box mounting, and various other chassis-related components. The ideal candidate will bring 5-7+ years of experience in commercial vehicle product development, with strong expertise in CREO/PRO-E and manufacturing processes.

This includes design activities, verification & validation, and engineering change management. Responsibilities For Design Release Engineer - Chassis

  • Take product ownership and engineering responsibility for Chassis Equipment function areas
  • Perform design activities from concept to production phase
  • Complete engineering activities, drawings, and engineering change releases
  • Work with test engineers to support testing activities and prototype procurement
  • Work with suppliers/vendors during sourcing and tooling development
  • Provide engineering support for prototype/methods/pilot builds
  • Coordinate engineering designs with purchasing, suppliers, testing team, and manufacturing team
  • Travel as required

Requirements For Design Release Engineer - Chassis

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5-7+ years of experience in product development projects in commercial vehicles industry
  • 5+ years of CREO/PRO-E experience
  • Applied knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of product development life cycle and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of class 8 heavy duty trucks (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and lead, coach and mentor others
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling
