Goken America, an Engineering Services and Product Development company founded in 2004 and headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment and Tooling Engineer for their Allentown, PA facility. This role is crucial in supporting current and future assembly operations within their Truck Cab and Vehicle Assembly facility.

The position sits within the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Department, where you'll be responsible for assembly process development, tooling development and maintenance, and industrial and product change management. You'll work with cross-functional teams to design and procure various tools, including fastening tools, lifting systems, and assembly aids.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Tooling and Equipment Engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical). Strong technical skills in CAD software (Catia, Creo, AutoCAD) and PDM systems are essential, along with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Equipment and Tooling Engineer

  • Design and procure tools for cab and vehicle assembly in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Benchmark existing equipment from other client facilities
  • Apply tooling and maintenance standards and best practices
  • Participate in new product development for tooling solutions
  • Perform feasibility analyses for functional requirements
  • Carry out integration studies with design engineering teams
  • Handle change requests according to procedures
  • Follow established procedures and quality system
  • Travel as required

Requirements For Manufacturing Equipment and Tooling Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in Tooling and Equipment Engineering
  • Experience in Catia, Creo, and AutoCAD with 2D/3D engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of ENOVIA, Windchill or other PDM Systems
  • Cost estimates & business case experience
  • Knowledge of Ergonomic standards
  • Awareness of OSHA guidelines, ISO, ANSI
  • GD&T knowledge and practical experience
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word and O365 apps
